Hubo un tiempo en donde los bancos te daban dinero por encima de “sus” posibilidades. Millones de metros cuadrados convertidos en resorts, campos de golf, urbanizaciones…

Hubo un tiempo en donde familias y parejas veían con ilusión que era posible optar a la vivienda de sus sueños para empezar un nuevo proyecto de vida.

…y hubo un tiempo en el que todo se vino abajo…

Los terrenos se quedaron sin urbanizar, los urbanizados se quedaron vacíos… y con el paso del tiempo,… algunas de aquellas grandes urbanizaciones empezaron a derrumbarse. Y con ellas, muchos sueños de familias y de parejas se rompían obligándoles a empezar de nuevo en el mejor de los casos habiendo perdido grandes cantidades de dinero adelantado.

Esta podía ser la historia de muchos conocidos, pero, esta es la mía propia en donde he querido alejarme de lo obvio que aún hoy en dia forma parte de muchos de nuestros paisajes, buscando una similitud en otro tipo de construcciones también construidos y abandonados por el hombre y en donde este sigue merodeando alrededor como una sombra de lo perdido.

There was a time when banks gave you money above «their» possibilities. Millions of square meters converted into resorts, golf courses, urbanizations …
There was a time when families and couples saw with enthusiasm that it was possible to choose the home of their dreams to start a new life project.
… and there was a time when everything fell apart …

The lands were left undeveloped, the urbanized ones remained empty … and with the passage of time, … some of those large urbanizations began to collapse. And with them, many dreams of families and couples were broken, forcing them to start over in the best of cases, having lost large amounts of advance money.

This could be the story of many acquaintances, but this is my own where I wanted to get away from the obvious that even today is part of many of our landscapes, looking for a similarity in other types of constructions also built and abandoned by man and where he continues to prowl around like a shadow of the lost.

Es por ello, que sea «más allá de los sueños», en donde realidad y ficción se junta para mostrar, al igual que su antecesora, un momento, un instante efímero en las vidas que nos rodea.

«Beyond the Dreams» is a remake of some of the photos I took during years for the series of «Moments of a sunrise.» Here I show, this time in color, a world that can seem unreal forms, situations, colors and textures, which are joined in an almost impossible way various natural elements and that man is introduced with everyday elements within the scene. That is why, it is «What Dreams May Come» in which reality and fiction come together to show, like its predecessor, a moment, a fleeting moment in the lives around us.

En este caso, del regreso de un viaje de trabajo, y una vez pasada la capital de España y en la intimidad de la noche, mi pensamiento se fijó en los días en los que, sobre un modernísimo seat 127 verde (el coche familiar) de entonces, recorríamos los casi 360 km que habían desde Alicante hasta nuestra maravilloso pueblo en la meseta manchega para llegar a la casa familiar de mis abuelos.

En ese momento, me dí cuenta de todos  los recuerdos que tenía de cada lugar, bien fuese de un pto. kilométrico, de un restaurante de carretera o del paso por alguna población. Lugares específicos en la carretera nacional 3 convertida en autovía y que de repente se habían convertido en «hitos» de mis recuerdos. En ese momento, fue cuando me dí cuenta de la necesidad de inmortalizarlos en mi memoria para siempre, creando esta serie. Pulse:A-31 es un guiño a todos esos buenos momentos que junto a mis hermanas y padres habíamos disfrutado en esa carretera. Con una estética de movimiento desdibujando el paisaje para darle ese «pulso» recorre los puntos mas simbólicos en mi memoria.

In this case, the return of a work trip, and once passed the capital of Spain and in the privacy of the night, my thoughts were fixed on the days when, on a modern seat green 127 (the family car) then, we traveled the almost 360 km that had from Alicante to our wonderful village in the plateau of La Mancha to reach the family home of my grandparents.

At that moment, I realized all the memories I had of each place, whether it was a pto. kilometer, from a roadside restaurant or passing through a town. Specific places on National Highway 3 turned into a highway and that suddenly had become «milestones» of my memories. At that moment, it was when I realized the need to immortalize them in my memory forever, creating this series. Press: A-31 is a nod to all those good times that along with my sisters and parents we had enjoyed on that road. With an aesthetic of movement, blurring the landscape to give it that «pulse», it crosses the most symbolic points in my memory.

Esta serie es un homenaje a todos y todas los que hemos sido niños y hemos encontrado mirar al cielo un juego divertido buscando formas que nos parecieran reconocibles y que ahora alguna vez, mirando al cielo, volvemos a sorprendernos al descubrir que esas formas siguen estando ahí, a su vez que nos transportamos a nuestra niñez.

Il Vento, it’s a gray day, it’s a sunset, a sunrise, a foggy day or a clear afternoon. Il vento is a race where time plays a game to the death with the forms that he creates with the help of the wind.

This series is a tribute to all of us who have been children and we have found looking at the sky a fun game looking for shapes that seem recognizable to us and that now, looking at the sky, we are surprised to discover that these forms are still there , at the same time that we are transported to our childhood.

Esta serie nace como alegoria a nuestra forma de vida. Sin hablar, sin escuchar,..sin ver.

In the great valleys, in the great plateaus, far from our daily urban habitat and far from where our way of life does not let us listen. In the midst of a moment of silence and light, we can find ourselves in an almost perfect symbiosis with our Mother Earth. Es un momento en el que nos abstraemos del resto sin darnos cuenta. Un momento especial de luz, de armónica sonoridad o simplemente con la disposición de algunos elementos que nos guía, nos atrae y nos hace reflexionar.

En esta serie, se conjugan ambas cosas. Un momento especial de luz en un amanecer gobernado por la niebla y la increíble disposición silenciosa de elementos lo que me hizo reflexionar sobre como en un medio natural, el hombre altera sin conocimiento de causa su estado original y con ello también su estado psicológico al contemplarlo.

Precisamente, fue este paisaje «natural» lo que me llevó a reflexionar sobre algunos aspectos de mi vida guiándome en mis reflexiones la conjunción de elementos naturales con los artificiales.

De una conjunción de agua evaporada, cielos grises y una composición sencilla, minimalista, nace esta serie de unas 35 fotografías en las cuales el factor común es ese momento único que todos, de una forma u otra, buscamos y no siempre es fácil de encontrar. Ese momento en el que todo enmudece a nuestro alrededor dejándonos en la intimidad con nuestros pensamientos. Algunos momentos únicos en los que tuve la suerte de participar como mero espectador y llevármelos en mi retina antes de que desaparecieran para siempre.

Desde El Campello hasta Torrevieja, he buscado esas escenas en las que cualquier elemento por sencillo que fuera e incluso a veces, fuera de contexto, me provocara esa sensación de intimidad con el medio que nos rodea.

Con esta serie, intento acercar esos momentos de paz interior y tranquilidad absoluta en el que el mundo que nos rodea, con sus prisas, sus preocupaciones y sus grandes problemas, pasan a un segundo plano, casi inaudible. No digo con ello que haya que hacer «oídos sordos» a los problemas de los que día a día somos testigos, pero si, que de vez en cuando nos merecemos tener un pequeño paréntesis para afrontar cada día con un mínimo de coherencia y frenar en lo posible el ritmo de vida tan frenético que llevamos en la actualidad. Por ello, si mirando estas imágenes consigo que una persona se pare es momento, y se dedique un poco de tiempo, entonces esa personas habrá conseguido que me sienta enormemente feliz.

From a conjunction of evaporated water, gray skies and a simple, minimalist composition, this series of some 35 photographs is born in which the common factor is that unique moment that everyone, in one way or another, seeks and is not always easy to find . That moment in which everything mutes around us leaving us in intimacy with our thoughts. Some unique moments in which I had the luck to participate as a mere spectator and take them in my retina before they disappeared forever.

From El Campello to Torrevieja, I looked for those scenes in which any element, however simple and sometimes even out of context, would provoke that sense of intimacy with the environment that surrounds us.

With this series, I try to bring closer those moments of inner peace and absolute tranquility in which the world that surrounds us, with its rush, its worries and its great problems, take a back seat, almost inaudible. I do not say that we have to make «deaf ears» to the problems of which we are witnesses day by day, but yes, that from time to time we deserve to have a small parenthesis to face each day with a minimum of coherence and stop in What is possible is the hectic pace of life we ​​carry today.
